Al Petteway is a 2005 Grammy Winning Artist for his contribution to the Pink Guitar-Henry Mancini CD on Solid Air Records.
Al and his wife Amy White live high in the mountains of Western North Carolina. They perform primarily original compositions on acoustic guitars, mandolins, piano, vocals, and percussion. Their music has a Celtic/American flavor with a rhythmic contemporary edge and has won them over four-dozen awards, including the Indie award for best acoustic instrumental album of 2001. Al and Amy have appeared on over sixty nationally released CD’s, including fourteen of their own. They also produce and record a number of international artists in their own Fairewood Studios.
Al and Amy use medium gauge Dean Markley Formula 82/R acoustic strings on their Kevin Ryan guitars.
